K M J PUBLIC
SCHOOL, is a minority institution, run by the members of Kanjiramattom Muslim Jama
Ath. The School is managed and administered by Al Fareedhiya Charitable Trust. The
beneficiaries of the Trust are the Muslim Members residing in the area of Kanjiramattom
Juma Masjid, which is one of the famous and old mosques in Kerala. The Kanjiramattom
Mosque is about three hundred years old mosque in Ernakulam District, Kerala. People
of all religion from all over Kerala and even out side Kerala, especially devotees
of Lord Ayyappa, visit the Mosque. About five lakhs of people visit this mosque
every year. The main charitable activity of the mosque is K M J PUBLIC SCHOOL, and
major portion of Mosques surplus fund has been spent for the development of School.
The Mosque has leased its 2.70 Acres of Land and School building constructed in
it. The Mosque has been spending its surplus in the development of the school. Every
year additions to building and other infrastructure are being made.
The School was started in 1998 in a building near the Mosque. In 2003 on completion
of the School building, the school started functioning in the new building.
The School already has 1.1058 Hectare of Land leased to it by the Kanjiramattom
Mosque. Out of this 2.25 Acres is a single plot where the School buildings and play
grounds are situated. This is considered to be sufficient for the near future expansion
plans.
Trust has plans to add two more blocks with ¾ blocks on eastern and western side
of the existing block.
The School has full fledged Laboratory, and a very good Library. The School has
sufficient benches, desks, black boards, fans etc. and additions will be made as
and when require.
